School Information

From your very first introductory lesson, you will learn how to protect vital targets and the theory of natural motion. The concept of natural motion teaches you how to apply everyday motions like walking or brushing your hair into powerful strikes and maneuvers that will allow you to stun, control or escape and attack. Because of their simplicity these self-defense moves can be instantly put to use. Other material will be more challenging requiring practice to develop the necessary coordination and balance demanded by more sophisticated maneuvers. Kenpo builds upon those self-defense movements to encourage the development of higher levels of self-confidence and a positive self-image. The physical benefits of Kenpo include improved cardio vascular health, coordination, balance, flexibility, and strength. You will be improving your health while learning valuable techniques that can help you to respond rather than panic in a situation that may threaten you or a loved one. The physical techniques of this powerful art are but stepping-stones used to help students develop an attitude of positive self-reliance and confidence. The attitude and confidence it takes to face your fear and survive helps people to make positive changes in their lives. It is this confidence that can transform the Kenpo student into a person that applies the lessons of their training to every day life. Learning how to use practice and patience to meet life goals helps the student to embody the concepts of respect and compassion while Kenpo training will give you the mindset to achieve your goals and succeed in life.
