We are now
offering Brazilian Jujitsu. This dynamic martial art focuses on
the challenges of ground encounters. Grappling is the art of wrestling
and submission fighting. It is complex and sophisticated interaction
between the defender, opponent, and the environment. Jujitsu teaches
the student that adaptation is the key to survival and that in all
reality a real street situation will likely involve, going to the
ground. A student well versed in the positions and maneuvers of
grappling not only has an increased awareness and confidence but
a deeper understanding of what they are capable of as martial artist.
This type of training can be practiced with nearly 100 percent resistance
from your opponent and offers an exciting test of your endurance,
adaptability and the mental skills that keep you calm under pressure.
Combining ground fighting/ Brazilian Jujitsu and Kenpo Karate provide
the student with functional tools that work on a multitude of levels.
The interaction between these two arts create key insights that
open big doors of understanding into the similarities and differences
between all ranges of fighting. The cross applications of both striking,
and grappling form a winning combination.
